New wellness program opens for health-insurance eligible faculty and staff
Biometric screening can give users important baseline information about the current state of their health.
The program kicks off with biometric health screenings this week and next at the Sports and Recreation Center. The results, which are not shared with the College, are available and can be reviewed immediately with a health professional on site.
Human resources director Silvana Presta announced the new wellness program, designed for employees and their spouses/partners, this week via facstaff email.
“You are encouraged to complete a 15 minute online survey prior to your biometric screening,” explained Silvana. “This will provide you with helpful information and be useful for your discussion with the health care professional on site who will review your screening results with you in private.”
To register for the screening, go to http://lakeforestappointments.wellemployeesolutions.com. On this site you can schedule your screening appointment along with your spouse/partner’s.
An accompanying 15-minute health survey can be completed here: www.wellemployeeportal.com. All employees who complete the screening and health survey by Friday, May 31 will receive a complimentary meal pass for the Hart Dining Hall.
The biometric screening, which normally costs $50, is free to eligible faculty and staff and is part of a host of health and wellness programming for employees and their families. More details will be announced soon, says Presta, but in the meantime she’ll take any questions at presta@lakeforest.edu.
