The wildly popular Heaven’s Gate podcast about the UFO religion whose members participated in a mass suicide in 1997, today reached number one on the iTunes charts. 

Associate Professor of Religion Ben Zeller, who wrote a book about the group, is a featured expert throughout the 10-part podcast, which concluded its final episode last week.

Heaven’s Gate is currently in first place on the most-downloaded podcast list on iTunes, in front of The New York Times podcast and Oprah’s “Super Soul Conversations.” It’s available for download at: https://www.heavensgate.show/
