English professor Davis Schneiderman publishes new work
Professor Davis Schneiderman. What's got his attention?
A 206-page novel, Blank contains only chapter titles. The story is – as it has always been – up to the reader.
Lake Forest English professor and multi-media artist Davis Schneiderman loves a good visual joke. His latest novel, Blank, contains very few words and eerie white-on-white pyrographic images by Chicago artist Susan White.
He also loves impactful packaging The fine art edition of Blank is shrink-wrapped and enclosed in a wooden box that is fully encased in plaster and can be opened with a pull-tab. Once opened, the box cannot be re-encased. A flash drive of music composed and performed by renowned experimental hip hop musician, Paul D Miller aka DJ Spooky is included with the limited fine art edition.
Schneiderman will do a reading from Blank and his other novel, Drain, on Wednesday, March 30 from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Chicago Cultural Center.
