Dr. Zhigang Ren, a Senior International Trade Specialist at the State of Illinois Office of Trade and Investment visited Lake Forest College to give the lecture, “Doing Business in China.” Around 30 Lake Forest College students and faculty attended the lecture that covered important topics involved in trading and doing business with China. His lecture covered the Chinese market, political and economic environment, selling U.S. products and services, customs and standards, leading sectors for U.S. export and investment, trade regulations, and business travel. His lecture encouraged many students who are interested in doing business in China in the future. The lecture was organized by the department of Asian studies, Modern Languages and Literatures, and the Chinese Club.
