An article examining the economic impact of violent unrest in Ferguson, Mo., cited research conducted by A.B. Dick Professor of Economics and Business Robert Baade.

Baade and Victor Matheson, associate professor of economics at College of the Holy Cross, researched how Los Angeles businesses fared a decade after the 1992 riots in the West Coast city.
