The Honors Fellows and Richter Scholar Committee received a record number of applications and selected 42 scholars.

“We could not be more pleased by the academic quality of this Richter Scholar class and the diversity of backgrounds, interests, and cultures its members represent,” said chair of the committee Professor Shubhik DebBurman in an email announcement.

“We are deeply thankful to so many of the faculty and staff who wrote the letters of recommendations and to those who have offered to serve as mentors for these students and have submitted such a wide array of Richter proposals.”
