Tim Holbrook has been appointed Vice President for Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Lake Forest College. He will join the College in late June and serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet.

Holbrook has more than 20 years of experience in higher education and mission-driven organizations, most recently at Northwestern University, where he serves as the Executive Director of Administration and Finance for the Division of Student Affairs.

“Tim brings exactly the combination of financial rigor, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership that Lake Forest College needs at this moment,” said President Mike Sosulski. “He understands how strong financial stewardship enables academic excellence and student opportunity, and he will be an outstanding partner to our faculty, staff, trustees, and students.”

“I look forward to partnering with colleagues to support the College’s long-term success.”

Holbrook has held senior leadership roles overseeing complex financial, operational, and human resources portfolios. His work has included managing large auxiliary and academic budgets, leading long-range financial and facilities planning, strengthening financial reporting and forecasting, and partnering closely with academic and administrative leaders to support institutional priorities. Through these roles, he has earned a strong reputation as a collaborative, clear-eyed leader who connects financial strategy to institutional mission.

“I am honored to join Lake Forest College and grateful to President Sosulski and the search committee for their trust in me to take on this role,” Holbrook said. “Lake Forest’s distinctive liberal arts mission and the strength of its community make this a meaningful opportunity to serve. I look forward to partnering with colleagues to support the College’s long-term success.”
