Event repeats Weekly (to May 06)

Join us to read aloud and discuss some of the greatest works of Russian philosophical literature! Books are free for all. RSVP: Professor Carla Arnell or Denzel Marufu

Join us for a roundtable for those who are interested in reading aloud & discussing some great works of Russian philosophical literature in the coming year. We meet for an hour on Fridays at 2 PM, either in Carnegie 304 or outside (if weather permits), and either weekly or every other week, depending on everyone’s schedule. Books will be provided for free, and there won’t be any pre-reading (homework!). No agenda either—just whatever you’d like to discuss in response to what we’ve read together.

Bulgakov’s Master and Margarita and Turgenev’s Fathers and Sons are our selections for this year, starting with Bulgakov this fall.

If you’d like to participate, please notify Professor Arnell so she can order a book for you.

At the end of the year, all who participate will venture together to the real Russian Tea Time restaurant across from the Art Institute for a celebratory tea & meal!
