Join us for a conversation with notable activist, scholar, and writer Angela Davis moderated by Professor Courtney Joseph.
Through her activism and scholarship over many decades, Angela Davis has been deeply involved in movements for social justice around the world. Her work as an educator – both at the university level and in the larger public sphere – has always emphasized the importance of building communities of struggle for economic, racial, and gender justice.
The 2022 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration event will start promptly at 4:20 pm and will be moderated by Dr. Courtney Joseph, K. & H. Montgomery Assistant Professor of History and African American Studies and Chair of African American Studies.
