How did you choose your area of study?
My decision to major in neuroscience stemmed from watching the deterioration of my grandmother’s movement due to Parkinson’s disease. I have always strived to know more about the brain and its inner workings. The neuroscience program at Lake Forest has allowed me to explore my love of the brain through other fields of interest such as, philosophy, psychology, and ethics. I have had a lot of great research opportunities during my time at the college. After graduation, I plan on taking a gap year to obtain more research experience before moving on to podiatry school.
