How did you choose your area of study?

When I arrived at Lake Forest College, I was determined on becoming a biology major since it had fascinated me the most out of all sciences during high school. However, Bio130: deadly shapes, hostage brain class introduced me to a field of science that I had not experienced before: Neuroscience. Looking back, I can say with certainty that I do not regret having my major. It has challenged me and allowed my abilities to grow. I am glad I received the academic and research experience that will help me with my future goals. I have not only changed my major from biology to neuroscience, but my medical field interests also seem to be shifting from general medicine to neurology. In future, I intend to pursue medical school.
