How did you choose your area of study?

The brain is the center of our universe. It allows us to understand, sense, and feel the world around us. To better understand the world, I chose to study neuroscience. The scientists that study Neuroscience, from basic neural functions to the diseases that riddle the human brain, they work with a deep passion and relentless dedication to their research. Each year that I got to Chicago’s neuroscience conference, I discovered new ways people are using neuroscience to understand different facets of life, because ultimately it all starts with the brain. I am a double major, but if I had to choose which major defined me, it would be the neuroscience major. My zeal to study neuroscience hopefully leads me to a professional career that deals with understanding this vast universe which is the brain.
