Why did you choose Lake Forest College?

I really wanted to continue to play golf and I knew I wanted to study finance and go into the banking industry. This was the perfect place that I could do both. And Chicago was a huge attraction. I’m from a rural town, but I love the city life and knew the College’s Chicago connection would be an advantage with internships and career networking.

What do you like best about Lake Forest College?

The friendships I’m building. I’m meeting a lot of great people—a diverse group of people— including my teammates, professors, and coaches. Everyone here really wants to help you succeed.

What other opportunities do you hope to pursue at Lake Forest College?

I plan to get a few internships under my belt, and I’d like to participate in the In The Loop Program, where you live in the city with other students, take classes, and work at an internship.

Why should prospective students from your area consider Lake Forest College?

The small class sizes at Lake Forest College are a huge advantage. In the end, when I was deciding where to go, my two finalists were UW-Madison and Lake Forest College. For me, it essentially came down to class size. I knew I was going to get help here from my professors, not from TAs.  I’m always going to my professors’ office hours to get help and to get to know them better. They have a lot of connections in the industry, which will help me with my career.
