Why did you choose Lake Forest College?

There are two reasons: Because of the digital media design program and for swimming. I also liked the small campus and that it was so near Chicago. Even though I’m not a city person, it’s a nice asset to have. I realized it will probably come in handy when it comes time to get an internship in publishing. I want to be a book publisher, so that’s important.

Now that you’re here, what do you like best about Lake Forest College?

I like the community here, how close everyone is, even if that sounds cliché. My high school friends go to big schools, but they barely know anyone. You can be involved in so much here and you get to know a lot of people.

What opportunities do you hope to pursue at Lake Forest?

I’d like to be on the Student Programming Board and the executive board of my sorority, Delta Gamma. I’d love to study abroad, hopefully in London, where there are a lot of publishing companies. And I’d like to get a publishing internship in Chicago.

Why should prospective students from your high school consider Lake Forest College?

This campus is only 300 students larger than my high school, so I’m very comfortable. And my high school education prepared me for the academic level of work here. I’m doing well, and so will you.
