Why did you choose Lake Forest College?

I plan on going to law school, so a liberal arts college was a good fit. I visited campus as a high school senior three times before making my decision. I was looking at some smaller DI schools and DII schools for tennis, but Lake Forest fit me the best. The classroom sizes are smaller, so I knew I’d get closer with my professors, which makes it easier in the long-run. I knew I would get a good education here. That was definitely a plus. Being so close to Chicago also played a big part in my decision.

Now that you’re here, what do you like best about Lake Forest College?

There are several things. Definitely the smaller class sizes and the curriculum. Being on the tennis team, I always have people to be with, but even without tennis Lake Forest is the kind of place that when I walk around campus I know so many people. That’s what a smaller campus offers. And I know I’m getting a great education. It will be really good when I can put on my applications for law school that I graduated from Lake Forest College.

What opportunities do you hope to pursue at Lake Forest?

I’m working on getting an internship in Chicago this summer and I plan to get another next summer in Chicago. I’d like to study abroad for a semester or participate in the In The Loop Program.
