Dream jobs, career exploration, and more!

Students were able to imagine their dream job, find out about law school and careers in global affairs, and the insurance industry with the Career Advancement Center.

Here are a few recent Career Advancement Center events:

  • What’s your dream job? Students were asked to post a picture representing their dream job to Facebook or Instagram using #ForesterDreamJob for a chance to win a prizes.
  • Considering law school? The Law School Forum in Downtown Chicago was held from 1 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10. Students were able to talk personally with representatives from more than 185 ABA-approved law schools.
  • Learn about great career opportunities in the insurance industry. Allstate recruiters were on campus to meet with juniors and seniors during Allstate Lunch and Learn to discuss career opportunities and to share information about the corporation and the new world of insurance at the corporate level.
  • Interested in global affairs? Students were able to learn about what governments and other organizations are doing to intervene in the fastest-growing criminal enterprise globally—human trafficking—at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs on Wednesday, October 11.
  • Envision your future: Next steps. Students enjoyed this workshop on Wednesday, October 11, and continued career conversations from New Student Orientation. First-year students or students exploring majors or Career Pathways benefited greatly from the topics discussed.
