Peru and the next generation

Carolina Trivelli, 2016 Gus Hart Visiting Fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, will give a talk on the future of Peru at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11 in the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel.

Trivelli is president of the board of Pagos Digitales Peruanos, a Peruvian e-money national platform aiming to contribute to financial inclusion in Peru. She is also a senior researcher at the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos, a social sciences think tank that she led as director general from 2001 to 2004. She serves as an independent executive committee member of the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor and of the Global Innovation Fund.  She is also a columnist for Peru 21, a national newspaper. 

Trivelli holds a master’s degree in agricultural economics from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree of social science in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.

In addition to the October 11 lecture, Trivelli will give a talk at the Council on Global Affairs offices in downtown Chicago on October 13.
