Networking at All Access Mixer

In The Loop students mingled with alumni professionals in Chicago during the first of three All Access Mixers planned for the fall 2016 semester.

A dozen alumni and the College’s In The Loop students gathered at The Flats, the new residence space for the Lake Forest College In the Loop Program, for an after-hours mixer on September 22.

Ben Tanzer, director of marketing, communications, and development for the Chicago Institute of Psychoanalysis and Instructor for the resident course Loop 202: Professional Development in the 21st Century, shared some insider tips and experiences along with how networking has had an important impact on his career.

Representing various fields and careers, the College alumni gathered for a networking reception before students arrived for Tanzer’s talk and some alumni-to-student networking after.

The new In The Loop residence space boasts views of Lake Michigan, Museum Campus, Buckingham Fountain, and the Chicago skyline.

The next All-Access Mixer is planned for November 17.

The All-Access networking events are a collaboration among the Career Advancement Center, the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, and the Center for Chicago Programs.
