Emergency Alert! All systems are go
In October, the College’s Office of Communications and Marketing conducted its annual test of the emergency alert system, which sends a text, email, and phone call to every student, faculty, and staff member on campus at a moment’s notice.
“The purpose of the test is two-fold,” explains Liz Libby, AVP of Communications and Marketing and head of emergency communications for Lake Forest College. “First, we want to make sure the online system works quickly and accurately. The second reason is to remind our community to give us their correct contact information, including cell phone numbers.”
The same system also has the capability of contacting parents and guardians if necessary.
