Nombuso Dlamini ’20 experiences the melting pot of Middle East

Nombuso Dlamini ’20 an economics major and entrepreneurship and innovation minor, studied at the ISEP program at American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates through the College’s Global Engagement Office.

“One of the many things that attracted me to the UAE was its intrinsic fusion of tradition and modernity,” Dlamini said. “It is also known as a cultural melting pot, with over 200 nationalities residing in the UAE, making it one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world.”

Dlamini is just one of many Lake Forest College students who study abroad. Other Foresters study in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Northern Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and South Korea.
