Matt Lee ’20 gains new language skills studying abroad

Matt Lee ’20, who lived abroad in Cork, Ireland last semester and studied at University College Cork, is grateful to have picked up a new language while there.

“My favorite class was my Irish language class,” the finance major and history minor said. “I am very surprised with the amount of Irish I learned in my short time there and was able to use with Irish speakers.”

Lee is just one of many Lake Forest College students who study abroad each semester. Foresters also study in China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Northern Ireland, Scotland, South Korea, Spain, and United Arab Emirates.

“I am extremely happy that I chose to study abroad and lucky to have found such an incredible school in UCC,” Lee said.
