Check in with CAC before winter break
The Career Advancement Center is hosting two programs in the Student Center this week so students can touch base with their career advisors to make sure they’re on track with their career planning for summer or post-graduation.
1. Senior Career Check-In Program, noon to 6 p.m, Wednesday, December 4, Skybox: This is a new program exclusively for seniors to assist with planning for next steps after graduation. Seniors can attend a 15-minute check-in session to discuss their goals with an advisor from their Career Pathway, get help with a job or graduate school search, and develop a list of action items to accomplish over winter break to ensure they come back feeling prepared to move forward. Seniors can sign up ahead of time here to reserve a specific time slot and beat the line, or just drop in.
Seniors who have already received a job offer or graduate program acceptance: Drop by the Senior Check-In program from noon to 2 p.m. to have your photo taken and receive a Class of 2020 Forester Success pin. Seniors should fill out this form to share their success with the CAC.
2. Express Advising Sessions: Career Planning over Winter Break, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, December 2–6, Senior 25 Lounge: All students are encouraged to drop by Express Advising to get tips on how to effectively use winter break for career planning and learn about exciting internships, summer programs, and jobs within their Pathway. Get further details about the days for each Pathway here, but feel free to drop by any day next week.
