Joseph interviewed on radio show

Assistant Professor of History and African American Studies Courtney Joseph took part in an August interview with Radio Telé Solidarité based in New York to discuss the growing prominence of Haitian-Americans within US society.

Joseph, a Chicago native of Haitian descent, went on to discuss the improving situation of the Haitian community in Chicago, with growing numbers of young Haitian-Americans going off to college, participating in civic events and becoming a larger part of the economy, political sphere and work force. Seeing this growth inspires confidence in Joseph as to the future of the Haitian community in the United States, she said.
