Secondary Student Teaching Supervisor/Education Lecturer
The Education Department and Teacher Preparation Program at Lake Forest College seek a part-time lecturer to supervise seven (7) student teachers in spring 2020. The student teaching supervisor also teaches the student teaching seminar (EDUC 421/521) on Tuesdays from 4:30 – 6:20 pm.
Student teaching supervision requires visiting/observing each student teacher in his/her high school student teaching placement approximately seven (7) times during the semester. Placements are in Lake and northern Cook County public schools.

Qualifications: A minimum of an earned master’s degree is required, plus considerable experience teaching at the high school level. The preferred instructor could be a retired high school teacher, department chair or principal. Experience supervising, mentoring and coaching high school teachers is important, and familiarity with the edTPA is preferred.
