Anna Jones named associate dean of the faculty

Professor of History Anna Jones has been appointed to a three-year term as associate dean of the faculty effective June 24, 2019, Krebs Provost and Dean of the Faculty Davis Schneiderman announced Monday. Jones replaces James D. Vail Professor of Art History Ann Roberts, who will return to the faculty next academic year.

As associate dean of the faculty, Jones will provide leadership for the Office of Faculty Development, First-Year Studies, the Transfer Advising Bridge Initiative, the hiring of adjunct faculty, and a host of other duties that contribute to the College’s success. In addition, she will continue to lead the College’s new Mellon grant, and, like Roberts, provide additional representation for the humanities at the administrative level.
