Men’s Hockey Alumni Day
On Friday, June 17, 2016 the 21st annual F.A.N. Club Golf Outing was held at White Deer Run in Vernon Hills, Illinois. All proceeds raised from the event directly supported F.A.N. Club initiatives including career preparation and athletic alumni programming, while funds also enhanced the College’s varsity programs by providing uniforms, equipment, and facility upgrades. We were fortunate to have gorgeous weather and a full field of golfers!

The Crosby Pro-Am was played on MPCC’s Dunes Course for 18 consecutive years beginning in 1947, then shifted to the Shore Course in 1965 and 1966.
In 1967, the tournament was moved to Spyglass Hill Golf Course.
The Crosby later returned to MPCC in 1977. In 2010, the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am included MPCC’s Shore Course in its rotation, along with Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.
The Arches was built between 1917 and 1918 by the owners of Dixie Crystal Sugar. It was restored to its original design between 1996 and 1998 with five bedrooms with four full baths and two half baths. The “Logia” on the back of the house overlooks a small “Goldfish” pond with a fountain built into the wall of the “Logia”. Donald Ross’ designed over 800 courses in the US and prior to selling to the Springs family of Dixie Crystal Sugar, he owned the lot where The Arches resides today.
