Views of Middle Campus during a January sunset.
Glaring sun and bright blue skies belied the bitter -2° wind chill in Lake Forest on Wednesday, January 4, as construction of the new Lillard Science Center continued unabated. A tour around the building shows the progress—and new views.
The first measurable snowfall of the season blanketed campus over the weekend. The official accumulation for Chicago on Sunday, December 5 amounted to 6.4 inches, as recorded at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
Alums, students, and parents networked during the second All Access Mixer of the fall semester on November 17. Lake Forest College Trustee Randy Lauer ’81 hosted the gathering at Citigroup in Chicago. Jessica Coleman ’89 was the guest speaker.
Students in Media Systems and Institutions visited the WBEZ radio station with Assistant Professor of Communication Camille Yale. WBEZ is Chicago’s news, talk, and information-oriented public radio station and only National Public Radio affiliate.
