Summer Programs at Lake Forest College

Lake Forest College’s Summer Programs let you catch up on a college credit, get ahead of the game, get a career-making internship, supercharge your writing, participate in an archaeological dig, learn a second (or third, or fourth!) language, earn a valuable transfer credit, or fulfill that promise you once made to yourself to be a lifelong learner.

For College Students:

Lake Forest College and visiting college students can take courses on campus during the Summer Session’s three, four-week terms. Pick the time, class and financial aid package you need to keep your brain stimulated during break.

For High School Students:

Summer Session courses are open to high school students, including the Summer Language Institute where you can learn Chinese, French or Spanish. The College also hosts the Bard College affiliated Writing and Thinking Workshop that exercises creative writing. We’ve also got a Vocal Arts Academy that will train singers between the ages of 14-18 to sing their heart out!

For Community Members:

Summer Session courses are open to adult learners, including the Summer Language Institute where you can learn Chinese, French or Spanish, and the new Writing By The Lake community seminar for the writer in you.

The College also hosts popular technology and sports camps for children.
