Amalie Ausland-Bjerkely ’19

Amalie interned with the Lake Forest City Hall, Spring 2017 semester, working for the city clerk. She learned about local governance and discovered that it could be a potential career path to pursue and was able to network with professionals in her field of study. 

Sydney Simone ’20

Sydney completed her internship with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office in Minneapolis, MN, in the summer of 2017. One of the highlights of her internship was attending the Summer Summit for the National District Attorneys Association. The presentations covered sexual violence and exploitation against women and Title IX. This summit complemented the research she had done on sexual violence against women.

Jeremy Levinson ’18

Jeremy focused his internship in the summer of 2017 with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) in Washington, DC. The DCCC serves as a branch of the Democratic Party focusing on training candidates and supporting fundraising efforts for their campaigns. Jeremy worked within the Political Department of DCCC, creating campaign messaging for the various candidates’ 2018 Election. One highlight of this summer was participating in a candidate’s bid for Congress and witnessing the grassroots energy supporting this candidate.
