Definitions

Isolation: A period of time where an individual who tests positive for COVID-19 must isolate from others.
Quarantine: A period of time where an individual whom, through contact tracing, is determined to be a close contact of someone who has tested positive and must isolate from others (*Discontinued in March 2022)
Testing: On campus testing occurs weekly for unvaccinated students, faculty, and staff. Testing is also done as-needed for symptomatic students or individuals identified in contact tracing.
Active cases: A snapshot of the current numbers for isolation and quarantine resulting from on-campus testing and contact tracing.
Cumulative cases: The total occurrence of isolation and quarantine cases in the defined time period. Some of these numbers are duplicative; for example, if a student in quarantine converts to positive and moves into isolation, they would appear twice.
