Housing Cancellation

To cancel your 2014-2015 academic year Residence Life Housing Contract, please complete and submit a Housing Cancellation Application to the Office of Residence Life. All appropriate documentation must be provided with the form. No exceptions will be made for forms that have been turned in with incomplete information.

When a check-out date has been set, the student is required to follow the check-out procedures outlined in the Student Handbook. The student is responsible for any and all room condition and check out charges (if applicable) which will be charged to the student’s Lake Forest College student account.  

Off-campus study programs

Approved off-campus program for Spring

If you have been approved and intend to participate in an off-campus study abroad program for Spring, you must complete a Housing Cancellation Application before December 1 to avoid any penalty charges.

Also, since you will not be on-campus to select your room for the next academic year during the Room Selection period, please complete the proxy information on the On-Campus Housing Application.

Approved off-campus program for Fall

If you have been approved and intend to participate in an off-campus study abroad program for Fall, you are not eligible to select a room during room selection. In order to be assigned housing for the Spring semester, you will need to fill out the On-Campus Housing Application. Assignments will be e-mailed to students after the New Year.
