Every spring, the Gates Center takes a moment to recognize, celebrate, and honor outstanding examples of Forester leadership and personal growth at the Spring Leadership Awards.
The Leadership Awards program recognizes leadership and personal growth in numerous, related areas, including:
The Rising Star Award
This award is for the first year student leader who has shown tremendous growth in their first academic year and is an emerging leader in the Lake Forest College community.
Commitment to Community Service Award
Awarded to a student who has committed her or his time, energy, and leadership skills to making a difference in the lives of others through volunteering and service-learning.
Student Organization and Leader of the Year Award
These awards recognize the efforts of the outstanding individual student leader and the programmatic excellence of the standout student organization.
Outstanding Program of the Year Award
This award highlights student programmatic excellence resulting from vision, teamwork, and campus impact.
Advisor of the Year Award
This award honors the staff or faculty member who provided extraordinary leadership, guidance, and support of student organizations, participants, and leaders.
