Kathy Salinger received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the State University of New York at Albany, a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from Marymount University, and a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Nurse Practitioner from North Park University.  This is Kathy’s sixth year at Lake Forest College but she been a nurse for over thirty years.  She is experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide range of health problems and focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, health education and counseling.  Kathy aspires to help students make wise health and lifestyle choices.

Services offered in the Health Center include:  physical examinations; illness evaluation and management; minor injury evaluation and management; sexual health (birth control, STI education/testing/treatment); prescription management; wellness and nutrition counseling; some on-site testing as well as other blood draws and laboratory services.   Services that are not performed on-site will be referred and billed to a student’s individual health insurance plan (such as x-rays, laboratory testing, and physician specialist appointments).

Lindsay Buckman

Lindsay Buckman received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University in 2008 and a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago in 2013.  She is a board certified Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center (ANCC).  Lindsay has nursing experience in general medicine/surgery, oncology, hematology, and dermatology.  She specializes in treating acne and other skin conditions.

Carlie Paul
RD, LDN

Carlie earned her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2009 from Northern Illinois University and became a licensed and registered dietitian (RD, LDN) after completing the Dietetic Internship program at Loyola University Chicago in 2011.  She also holds B.F.A in Dance and a B.A. in Sociology (2004) from the University of Iowa.  Carlie became interested in nutrition as a way to stay healthy and strong as a dancer and ended up discovering a passion for dietetics and nutrition education to promote disease prevention and wellness.  She has worked in a variety of settings including clinical and community nutrition, women, infant and children nutrition, as well as chronic disease management with an emphasis in nutrition education and counseling.  Carlie enjoys working with individuals and groups to help identify their paths towards health and wellness through food.  Her approach combines evidenced based nutrition information with individualized goal setting to build sustainable lifestyle changes.
