How did you choose your area of study?

My academic goals have changed wildly since I arrived at Lake Forest College. After initially wanting to pursue medicine, I discovered a passion for both neuroscience and economics. There is a lot of potential in combining these subjects; new fields of research such as behavioral economics and neuroeconomics have yielded fascinating discoveries about human economic behavior that contradict previous assumptions. I hope to use my knowledge of neuroscience to augment my economic studies, and provide new insights into human economic behavior that can be used in public policy.
