Kanoe Montaño ’18

Kanoe became a resident assistant because she wanted to be a part of the backstage crew building the healthy and happy community she sees every day on campus. She’s excited about meeting new people and getting to share experiences with them.

“Lake Forest College makes it really easy to make long lasting friendships and learn life lessons–whether it’s from my fellow RA’s or from my residents,” she said.

What did you think of the faculty?

The professors are challenging and engaging but also compassionate and mindful. They care about each individual student and their educational journey. I’ve never felt estranged from my professors because they are a part of the Forester Family, too!

What was your favorite class?

Sculpture! ART 233 to be exact. The class helped me grow as a person and as an artist. I could not be more grateful to Professor Eli Robb for facilitating it.
