Study Abroad and Domestic Study Away
Notes from Abroad: Quinton in Morocco
Quinton Wunder ’19 is an international relations major who is studying at Al Akhawayn University in Morocco.
Note from Abroad: I’m a senior at Lake Forest College right now. I’m an International relations major and a double minor in sociology and Islamic world studies. I’m am studying at perhaps the most prestigious university in Morocco. I chose this university because I wanted to further my arabic studies and I wanted to study in a Muslim country. It was been an amazing experience studying here in Morocco. I’ve learned about the culture and the customs, my education has occurred everywhere. I have learned so much both inside and outside of the classroom. I gained valuable life experience and have been able to do things and travel places that I had only dreamed about. I have grown so much personally due to my semester abroad and I am sure that it will also help me with my career. I plan on working in intelligence and would love to work in the Middle East or North Africa one day. Living here has given me a good base ! to jump off of and be successful later in life.
