Meneses’ film to be screened at festival

Associate Professor of Spanish Gizella Meneses’ film Intergenerational Stories on Linguistic Identity: Abuelas, Hijas, Niet@s was accepted to the 2017 Illinois International Film Festival.

The 2017 Illinois International Film Festival will take place Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 at the Prisco Center in Aurora, Illinois. Tickets will be on sale at the box office or online.

This is Meneses’ second film. Her first, Second Generation Stories: Growing Up Latino/a in Chicago, debuted in 2010 across Chicagoland. Meneses has been working on her latest film over the course of two years with video editing assistance from Sarah Endsley ’17.
