Lake Forest College expects biggest crowds yet for Homecoming weekend

Homecoming weekend is upon us. The weather looks like it will be a perfect 74 degrees. Here’s a list of all the Homecoming events going on around campus, including Boomer’s Bash Friday night and the Homecoming parade followed by the football game against the Beloit Buccaneers on Saturday.

Taste of Chicago Lunch 
Hart Dining Hall, Middle Campus
Friday, October 8, 10:45 to 1:30 p.m.
Join us for a Chicago-themed lunch in the Hart Dining Hall.  Included in the Homecoming Pass, or $7.50 at the door.

Friday, October 8, 12 noon to 4:00 p.m.

Tour the new Recreation and Sports Center as we celebrate its opening with a toast. Mingle with students, faculty and alumni.  Open bar and appetizers are included in the Homecoming Pass, or $15 at the door.

Friday, October 8, 8:00 p.m.
Lake Forest favorites Katy Todd and Ellis return to the college for an unforgettable performance at the annual bonfire. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Homecoming Parade

This year’s student-led parade will begin at North Campus, traveling south on Sheridan Road before turning right into South Campus, ending at Halas Hall.

Join us for a train ride around Middle Campus, a petting zoo, moon walk, cotton candy, face painting and Boomer Bear Temporary Tattoos.  
The fun is geared towards children 10 and under.  Children registered for the Homecoming Pass will receive a special surprise.

Cheer the Foresters to Victory. The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at half-time, as well as honoring our Hall of Fame Inductees.  Included in the Homecoming Pass, or $5.00 at the gate.

Dress to impress as 80’s cover band, The Breakfast Club, appears at Lake Forest to end Homecoming 2010 on an incredible and unfogettable note. Dessert will be served.
