Since graduating from Lake Forest College in May 2012, Bain spent the past 14 months working in Virginia at the Robert H. Smith Center for the Constitution at James Madison’s Montpelier. While there, she led on-site programs and staff trainings, coordinated the Virginia “We the People” program for middle school and high school students, and created and managed content for the Center’s social media accounts.
Bain will be moving back to Chicago to start law school in the fall, where she hopes to continue her focus on advocacy efforts relating to civil and disability rights.
“I feel well prepared and more than ready to continue my studies in the city I am fortunate to call home,” Bain said.
While a student at Lake Forest, Bain interned in Washington, D.C. for the Department of Justice helping to enforce the Americans with Disability Act. Read more.
