Professor Cynthia Hahn leads Rhino Poetry Forum workshop

Professor Hahn led the Rhino Poetry Forum workshop on French poetry and translation at the Evanston Public Library on June 24, 2012.

The workshop, “From French Poetic Inspiration to Translation,” was a discussion of French symbolists poets of the 19th century and writing strategies. In addition, the process of literary translation, as well as the process of translating one’s own poetry, was discussed as a means of discovering and honing poetic voice.
