New Urban Studies core class
The Urban Studies program is offering a new core course, Introduction to Urban Studies, which focuses on Chicago as a whole and at the neighborhood level.
The Urban Studies program is offering a new core course, Introduction to Urban Studies, which focuses on Chicago as a whole and at the neighborhood level. Taught by Professor Mary Scott-Boria, students will get a chance to consider issues like gentrification, urban renewal, community policing and environmental reform as they are experienced at the ground level. This interdisciplinary course focuses on the economic, political, environmental and cultural dimensions of the urban experience, with guest lectures by a variety of college experts.
