Rebecca Brezinsky ’11 would like to thank donors for their generosity in helping her on her way to veterinary school

A recipient of the Christopher J. Conner Memorial Scholarship  has been able to work on her veterinary skills through her internships at the Animal Emergency Referral Center and the Wildlife Discovery Center.  She is also a leader on campus through her efforts in many organizations and hopes to continue helping others.

I’m the recipient of the Christopher J. Conner Memorial Scholarship this year again. As I’ve begun my senior year at Lake Forest College, I have so much to be thankful for. Because of a donor’s generosity, I’m able to apply with a strong application to veterinary school. I hope to attend either Western University of Health Sciences, University of Pennsylvania, Tufts University, or St. George’s University, all of which have excellent programs in veterinary medicine.

In Rebecca’s words:

The generosity of donors has allowed me to become more involved academically and within the community.

During my four years at Lake Forest College, I’ve had the opportunity to intern at both the Animal Emergency Referral Center and the Wildlife Discovery Center, double-major in Biology and Environmental Studies, and increase my leadership skills as a Resident Assistant, President of Circle K, and Vice President of Future Health Professionals. If it were not for this scholarship, I likely would not have been able to complete my internships and thus, would not have realized my interests in small animal and wildlife medicine. The generosity of donors has allowed me to become more involved academically and within the community.
