Janet McCracken to participate in North Shore Authors Showcase
Professor of Philosophy Janet McCracken was selected to give her lecture Perry Mason as Greek Tragedy at the North Shore Authors Showcase.
McCracken’s lecture will explore the character of Perry Mason, popular fictional lawyer first appearing in the novel The Case of the Velvet Claws. In her talk, McCracken will dive into the deep philosophical implications of Mason’s tactics as a lawyer and frames the stories as modern Greek tragedies.
The talk is scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8 at North Shore Unitarian Church, 2100 Half Day Road, Deerfield, Illinois. Tickets required. Register here.
The North Shore Authors Showcase series features authors from greater Chicago and beyond, hosted by North Shore Unitarian Church as part of its engagement with the broader community.
