John Waters Lecture

In a comedy-filled routine titled “This Filthy World,” John Waters discussed his careers in film, art, and literature, ranting about his life, pop culture, and things that make him crazy as only John Waters can. The event was sponsored by the Ruth A. Winter Lecture Series, and was the culmination of the two-month long John Waters Film Festival on campus.

Nearly 300 students, faculty, and staff volunteered for the 2017 Forester Day of Service—the College’s annual service program and the signature event for Lead the Way, one of the Forester Five values.
This year, Forester Day of Service was the closing event of National Division III Week.

The Forester Day of Service, held Saturday, April 8, continued the tradition of serving the community of North Chicago. Through a partnership with North Chicago Community Partners, Foresters traveled to four North Chicago Elementary Schools to facilitate a day of educational and enrichment activities.
