Forester Day of Service 2017
Nearly 300 students, faculty, and staff volunteered for the 2017 Forester Day of Service—the College’s annual service program and the signature event for Lead the Way, one of the Forester Five values.
This year, Forester Day of Service was the closing event of National Division III Week.
The Forester Day of Service, held Saturday, April 8, continued the tradition of serving the community of North Chicago. Through a partnership with North Chicago Community Partners, Foresters traveled to four North Chicago Elementary Schools to facilitate a day of educational and enrichment activities.
Students gathered on Saturday, April 7, for our annual Forester Day of Service, a campus-wide day of service where Lake Forest College students, faculty, staff, and alumni volunteer their Saturday to help out the community. This year, Foresters volunteered as buddies to inspire and support North Chicago elementary school students in their pursuit of a college education.
On the latest 360 Chicago trip, Foresters toured one of Chicago’s best-kept secrets: the Pedway, an indoor series of walkways and hallways in the loop, before grabbing a bite to eat at Gino’s East Pizzeria.
