How to Read Course Evaluations...and Extract Useful Feedback

Reading course evaluations can be nerve-wracking for any faculty member, but perhaps particularly for junior and part-time faculty.  As we approach the end of the semester, therefore, please join us to discuss the following: first, the content of the College’s course evaluation form, how it is administered, and how it is used in assessing faculty work; second, how to read the feedback in the form to get the most useful information possible for faculty development; and third, how to respond to the forms, particularly to any feedback that you feel is inaccurate or inappropriate.   Should you wish to have a bag lunch courtesy of the OFD, please RSVP below by Monday 2 December at 5 pm, using the “comment” field to indicate your sandwich choice.
