Gates Center for Leadership and Personal Growth > Forester Edge - Orientation 2008 > Welcome Letter
April 21, 2008
Dear In-coming Students:
On behalf of the “Forester Edge” Orientation Staff — Welcome to Lake Forest College! We hope you’re ready for some fun, because we have plenty planned for your Orientation Program - beginning with the first five days you are on campus and continuing into the first few weeks of classes. Small group meetings with your Forester Guides, a picnic at Market Square, concerts, and other special programs are scheduled so you can meet all of the other new students. With all of these exciting events planned, we also have a few educational programs scheduled that will help prepare you for life on the Lake Forest College campus, as well as how to be successful in the classroom.
We know your summer is full of anticipation for your first year at Lake Forest. With anticipation usually comes stress and concern about what to expect from your Lake Forest College experience. If you have any questions at any point during this summer feel free to contact us; you can reach me, Chris Waugh, in the the Gates Center for Leadership and Personal Growth from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 847-735-5210. Otherwise you are welcome to leave a message for me at the same number, and I will get back in touch with you. You can also reach me by e-mail at the address listed below my name.
We look forward to seeing you this fall. Until then, enjoy your summer and keep checking this Web site and your mail for exciting new information from the College.
Eagerly anticipating your arrival,
Christopher Waugh, Assistant Dean of Students, Director of the Gates Center for Leadership and Personal Growth
