Sports and Recreation Center Campaign

In April, Lake Forest College opened a 63,000-square-foot, $17-million Sports and Recreation Center expansion upon the existing Sports Center.
"The Sports Center addition," said Student Senate President Mario Baldassari ’11, "not only focuses on recreation and fitness but also serves as a community hub for healthy socializing and campus fun. This facility was truly the missing piece on campus. I can’t wait to see the energy and excitement this will bring to the student body.”
The College has raised all but $2 million of the required funds for the renovation project.
Wes Dixon Challenge
To close the gap, Wes Dixon, a longtime friend of the College and Life Trustee, has generously pledged $1 million as a challenge to former Lake Forest athletes, with the hope they will provide the remaining $1 million needed to finish the project.
Thanks to several generous donations, $700,000 has currently been raised in hopes of meeting the goal.
