The Value of Gifts in Challenging Economic Times
Like many other institutions, Lake Forest College is supported by the endowment,annual gifts, and net tuition.
In challenging times, the endowment doesn’t cover operating expenses as needed,
so more unrestricted gifts are needed to fill this gap. Your gift of any size to the Fund is powerful. Take a look at what your annual gift is worth in endowment funds this fiscal year:

The Annual Fund helps bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual operating expenses of the College. Just like last year, the Annual Fund must raise $2 million in order to maintain the level of excellence our students deserve.
The Annual Fund provides unrestricted financial support to all areas of the campus and subsidizes ongoing academic programs as well as:
- Student scholarships
- Academic program support and classroom improvements
- Technology maintenance and improvements
- Alumni-support opportunities, such as career services and mentorship programs
- The salary pool, allowing Lake Forest College to attract the best professors
- Forester Athletics
- Vital campus needs from light bulbs to classroom maintenance…and everything in between.
