Foresters Fall 7-2 to Visiting North Central College
Team will battle for MWC South Division’s top seed on Saturday

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Lake Forest College women’s tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at home to North Central College on Thursday (September 27). The Foresters fell to 5-4 on the season while the Cardinals raised their record to 9-2.

North Central began the contest by claiming all three doubles matches.

The Foresters were able to claim a pair of singles matches – one at the top of the lineup and another at the bottom. Senior Alli Berry (Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) ran her record on the year to 10-2 with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at number one and sophomore Viri Del Bosque (Rockford, Ill./Guilford) prevailed 6-3, 6-1 at number six.

Lake Forest will host Grinnell College Saturday (September 29) morning at 10:00. Both teams are 2-0 in Midwest Conference South Division matches and Saturday’s winner will be the division’s top seed at the four-team MWC Championship Tournament on October 12.
